Their history began in 1853 in Le Locle, Switzerland, where Charles - Emile created a watchmaking company bearing their name from its first pocket watch with two time zones in 1853 to its revolutionary tactile T-Touch watch, Tissot has produced many "first" in terms of technology, materials and design, in 1858 Charles - Emile left Le Locle for Russia and successfully sold Tissot pocket watches across this huge and influential Empire. In 1983, Tissot joined the swatch group and is today the company with the highest productivity in the traditional Swiss watch industry.
